Plumbwell Heating is main authorised servicing agent for Aga/Rayburn on gas,
oil and solid fuel cookers in the south of England.
We are also the main authorised servicing agents for converted 'Don' and 'oil warm'
appliances (on Aga/Rayburn models) stoves
Regular maintenance is an essential part of keeping your Aga/Rayburn running safely
and efficiently.
The routine service will involve the following main points and other measures, which
as an authorised service contractor we may deem necessary.
- Oil Aga/Rayburn Cooker (6 months)
- Replace wicks, if necessary
- Replace/clean filter
- Inspect seals and gaskets
- Clean flue ways
- Clean and decarbonise burner base
- Check operation controls
- Check flow rates
- Inspect burner shell
- Check for clean combustion
- Clean metering system
- Gas Aga Cooker (12 months)
- Clean flue ways
- Clean main burner
- Clean pilot burner
- Check/replace thermocouple
- Check operation of thermostat
- Check flame failure device
- Observe flame pattern
- Check for gas soundness
- Check gas pressure
- Check ventilation
- Check flue
- Check operation of gas ignitor
- Check operation of fans (where fitted)
- Solid Fuel Aga/Rayburn Cooker (12 months)
- Remove hot plates, clear flue ways and air tubes
- Examine outer barrel
- Inspect and renew seals and gaskets, as necessary
- Check operation of grate mechanism
- Check operation of thermostat
- Ensure tightness of ashpit door and catch

- Customer to clean flue ways, as described in the operating instructions
